2012 Upstate New York & Forty Frame Game Rules

Please Read Carefully and Keep

1. All USBC rules will be in effect.

2. Bowlers will use their highest average from 2009/2010, 2010/2011, or 2011/2012. Minimum twenty-one (21) games. No youth league averages accepted. All averages must be verified.

3. All Bowlers must present sanction cards upon registration. NO ADDITIONAL SANCTION FEES FOR CANADIAN BOWLERS. Non- Sanctioned Bowlers must purchase a participation card for $10.00 and bowl scratch. This is NOT a sanction card . Maximum entering averages: Triples - 675, Doubles - 450, Singles- No Max and bowl scratch. Only one (1) first year bowler may bowl on a Triples or Doubles team. Any bowler that does not have a 2009/2010, 2010/2011, 2011/2012 average MUST BOWL SCRATCH.

4. Any bowler who fails to report a prize of $600.00 or more in the past twenty four (24) months or is currently in the top ten (10) standings in ANY event or has bowled 100 pins or more in a three(3) game event or 133 pins in a four (4) game event or 166 pins in a five (5) game event over their average in the past twenty four (24) months must report this at registration for possible average adjustment.

5. All bowlers with average adjustments must report this upon registration.

6. All exempt bowlers, Men & Women, in the 2011-2012 season, cannot participate. Former exempt players can participate 8 years after retirement from the exempt list.

7. Handicap will be based on 80% of 225. Maximum handicap per person will be 210. All bowlers averaging 225 or higher will not receive any handicap.

8. No more than four (4) Bowlers per lane. Minimum Two (2) Bowlers per squad.

9. This will not be a sport shot or your regular league conditions. Bowlers will bowl four (4) games in each event - Triples, Doubles, Singles. After two (2) games move to adjourning pair.

10. The tournament committee has the right to adjust averages or refuse any entry.

11. There will be a $30.00 charge on all returned checks. There will be a $5.00 charge for each credit card transaction.

12. All Canadian checks must be written in US Funds.

13. In the Triples and Doubles events you may bowl twice with the same bowlers but cash highest score only. Change one (1) bowler in each event, cash up to five (5) times. In the Singles and Combine events you may cash twice, only once in the top ten. The Combine Event is your Doubles & Singles scores added together with handicap. Combine Entry Fee $12.00, Returned 100%.

13A. There will be no guaranteed prizes in any event. Singles, Doubles, Triples, Combine and the Forty Frame Game, One (1) in eight (8) will cash. 35% of the total money will be paid for 1st place. Half of 1st place will be paid for 2nd place. Then there will be a much fairer breakdown of the total prize fund.

14. If by war, fire, labor strike, etc. or act of God and it becomes impossible to complete the Tournament, all guarantee prizes will be adjusted percentage wise based on entries that have bowled. There will be no liability to the Upstate New York Tournament or Boll-A-Roll Lanes.

15. All decisions by the Tournament Committee WILL BE FINAL.

16. Entries will close after the 3 p.m. squad on July 1st, 2012.
